I know a lot of musicians are like that. “If it ain’t broke, don’t touch it at all or I will kill you”. Gear is so often inconsistent, that we gravitate towards anything that doesn’t effing change or shift on us.

it’s true. and drums shift literally every time you play them!

And we all know damn well that you’d never be able to get that exact sound again. It would end up driving you crazy trying to chase it
