Mandated vehicle surveillance Federal law requires car makers to start monitoring drivers
The $1.2 trillion “Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal” contains provisions which implement a federal per mile user fee on drivers of passenger vehicles and requires car makers to build driver monitoring technology (aka driver facing cameras) into new vehicles.
