Teen Band plays The Spirit of Radio – Rush

In 45 years, I think this is the best Rush cover I’ve ever seen. No hyperbole.

The fact that the drummer actually has a glockenspiel is the cherry on top of this performance for me. Most covers lack those kinds of attention to detail but these guys know what’s up

Almost note for note drum parrot. Have they made it their own?

  1. That’s a Ludwig Rockers kit, early 1980’s. Black/White (not blue/olive) badges. The shells are possibly composite (though maybe wood). Also, it appers to be 22″ bass drum with 14″ and 15″ mounted toms with a 16″ floor tom, making it an hodge-podge between the ‘two halves’ of this kit (not present: 18″ floor, 24″ bass, 12″ and 13″ mounted toms). The 6-ply maple all wood shell / blue/olive badge cousin to this kit is known to be amongst the best-sounding Ludwig kits from that period.
